A 19th Century Italian Oil on Canvas Titled "Pleasurable Thoughts" by Giovanni Piccone. Signed: G. Piccone. G. Piccone (1842-1887). The reading of a good book will always give one pleasure. Here the woman pauses from her reading, puts down the book, and appears to let her mind and imagination take her to a higher level of pleasurable thought.
