A centaur battle oil on canvas painting by Mexican - American painter Alejandro Romero. The painting is signed and date 1990 on the lower right corner.
Alejandro Romero was born in 1948 in the mexican state of Tabasco. He spent his youth in Mexico City, where he discovered his love for drawing and the history of art in Mexico. He studied in the Academia de Carlos, took lessons under Juan O´Gorman and collaborated with muralist works of Siqueiros. Later in his life, he moved to Paris for two years. He studied at the Artist's Collective of Taos, New Mexico and the Art Institute of Chicago. His work has been influenced by the link with the Mexican muralist tradition and the European art of Bosch and Peter Brueghel the Elder. He lives in Chicago, IL.
