About the Item
Laszlo Neogrady nacque a Budapest, in Ungheria, nel 1896. Era il figlio dell'artista Anatal Neogrady, e studiò pittura all'Accademia Ungherese di Belle Arti sotto l'artista Ede Ballo. Tornato a Budapest, divenne insegnante d'arte, specializzandosi nelle tecniche dell'acquerello
Dal 1922 Laszlo Neogrady espose le sue opere alla Galleria d'Arte Ungherese. Si è specializzato nella pittura di paesaggi naturalistici, molti dei quali raffiguravano scene di foresta nella neve. L'ampio uso dell'artista dell'impasto crea un effetto quasi tridimensionale in queste opere. Il suo uso della luce è solitamente drammatico e i suoi paesaggi sono molto suggestivi.
L'artista morì il 27 agosto 1962.
