Elegant antique oil painting circa 17th or 18th century of a little girl, most likely the daughter of a prestigious doctor or scholar. There is a note attached on the back that reads "Purchased from Lee's Antiques Atlanta, GA 1970. Believed to have been painted by Nicholaes Maes (1634-1693) or someone of that school. 1970 Examined in detail by Eugene O' Karma, Atlanta, GA and guaranteed to be an old oil on canvas that has been re-lined. O' Karma Jones Inc. 1050 Spring St. NW Atlanta, GA." Measures with the frame 32.75 inches in width by 38 inches in height and 3 inches in depth. The canvas itself measures approximately 25 inches in width and 30 inches in height. There is general wear on the canvas and the frame is slightly cracking along with gilding loss.
