Baroque Painting or Classical Ruins Attributed to Giovanni Ghisolfi

This 17th century painting is labeled Giovanni Paolo Panini, 1691-1765, but we believe it to be earlier, by Italian Baroque artist Giovanni Ghisolfi, born Milan 1623-1683, who painted in Rome from the 1640s. Chisolfi trained with his uncle Antonio Volpino. An exquisite realistic oil on canvas of classical or Roman architectural fragments and ruins including arches, sphinxes, and other formations with vegetation erupting at the top. All backed with blue sky, clouds, and people in the foreground.
