About the Item
Watercolor on paper entitled Black Widow Top View by Jim Adair. Inscribed lower left.
All of Jim Adair's work was purchased straight from his country home in New Paltz, New York, Ulster County. Adair was an ad, marketing and design man that graduated from Michigan State and moved to New York City in the 1950s. Upon his retirement, Adair moved out of the City where he purchased a 18th Century country home and started Adair Winery across the road. Adair had Red Pump Studio on his property where he created local scenic imagery for tourists and vacationers to the area. He worked predominantly in the watercolor medium.
Good overall condition with minor fade due to age. No visible rip or tears to the sheet. A minor discoloration or purposeful shadow towards the center of the image (see photo). Free edges to two sides of the watercolor paper. Unframed.
The sheet measures approximately 11.25" wide x 15" high.
