Watercolour on card paper of a lady dressed in white in an artist’s folding chair seated with sketchbook and brush viewing the landscape, possibly seaside with soft brown dunes in the background and blue and green brush foliage in the foreground. An elegant subject softly rendered in original gilt carved floral frui frame. Eduardo DalBono was a Neapolitan pupil of Nicola Palizzi with works found in the collections at Capodimonte and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Naples. Signed lower right. Italy, circa 1880’s.
