Francisco Mery is a Chilean artist born in 1961. He is a graphic designer and self-taught painter. According to the artist, "My art is defined as sort of '3d realism', that has the effect of creating an illusion in the observer's eye, confronting him with the sensation of not having the certainty of knowing the reality of the perceived object, provoking on him the desire of touching the artwork. My theme is the depiction of paper, with which I partially wrap paintings, leaving to the spectator the discovery of its hidden mystery."
