Framed Oil Painting on Panel by Van Herberigs with BOOK is an interesting example of the artist's work. Herberig blurred the distinction between post-Impressionism and abstract. Using bold earth tones to create his images, his work has been catalogued in a book, a copy of which is included with your purchase! This particular work was inspired by a babbling brook working its way through weather-worn rocks, newly interpreted by the artist creating a luxurious composition on a medium format scale. Survives in its original frame.
