About the Item
A frog is sitting on a stone by a pond and is being observed by a small brownish black bird sitting on a tree stump looking down on the frog across the water.
According to Vollmer's dictionary of visual artists Tor Otto Fredlin was a Swedish painter and draughtsman, born 1890 in Härnosand. He studied in Althin's school of painting and in France. Landscapes and animals were his favorite subjects. He also worked as an illustrator. Fredlin died in 1955.
The museum in Malmö shows a painting by him.

The painting is not signed, but I bought several paintings from the estate of the painter and therefore can guarantee that it is an original work by Fredlin.
The painting comes in a contemporary custom made blackend oakwood frame with silver leaf detailing by Munich master frame maker Manfred Bleninger.
