Guatemalan folk art oil on canvas painting of native Mayan women vending fruit from baskets. They are dressed in the hand woven native clothing of Santiago Atitlan, which is located on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
Juan Sisay (1921-1989) the artist ,was born in the same village.
He became a self taught world renowned painter depicting traditional life of Mayan people, with exhibitions around the world.
This painting has it's original faux bamboo carved wooden frame.
