About the Item
Oil on canvas; 48" x 36". Unframed. Painting portrays three mountain goats standing on top of high cliff face. Behind them is a sheer cliff face with powerful waterfall cascading over side. In the far distance is a snowy mountain range and cloudy sky. The lighting is warm and just hitting the high points of the mountain where the goats are standing. An exceptional piece that beautifully exhibits Parker's ability to capture the mood and lighting of the natural world.
Greg Parker has mastered the ability to capture the very essence of what he sees and experiences in an exceptional artistic capacity. Greg’s ability to bring to canvas the moments seen through the human eye in such exceptional craftsmanship is one to be recognized. Early in his youth, he found himself especially interested in nature and read all he could about naturalists like John Muir who captured young Greg’s imagination. Being an outdoorsman himself, Greg’s studio in the beautiful Northwest part of the United States provides a setting in which often overlooked beauty Greg successfully captures and shares on canvas.
