Large Mid-Century French Still-Life Painting on Hardboard Signed by Artist
About the Item
This eye-catching mid-century original oil painting has been sourced in Alsace, France. It features a colorful kitchen still-life. The painting is signed by the artist, interpreted as A. Goli, in the lower left corner (see photo).
The artwork is painted on a hardwood support, especially sold for this purpose (art supply). The label in French is still visible on the back (see photo). The painting has been nicely framed in a classic fabric (linen) covered wood frame with a gold painted border.
Considering the overall condition and the style of the painting, it most likely dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
The painting is in good vintage condition. It has not been cleaned, I leave that decision up to the new owner. The artwork itself has no major scratches or sections of missing paint. The frame shows minor signs of wear coherent with use and age (see close up photos). The painting can be displayed as is.
