A nice mid-century modern expressionist watercolor, made and signed by Tony-Luc Blickx. Painted at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area in Paris, the heart of the Latin quarter.
Signed and dated left under, 1956. Tony-Luc Blickx (Belgium, 1926 - 2000)

Blickx was a painter, sculptor and graphic artist. Education at the Academy of Mechelen. Known for his portraits, landscapes, flowers, marines and still lifes. Neo-expressionist design. From the press: “Blickx is one of the most poetic among the painters of his generation. His work is one great interest in the landscape and in the men he depicts in dreamy portraits, vibrant in color. In addition to drawings in Indian ink, the post-expressionist also uses charcoal and wax techniques.”
