Magnificent vintage monumental oil on canvas landscape painting in an ornate gilded wood frame signed by Henry Kim. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, no known flaws that we have detected. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. Sometimes just admiring a fine piece of art can transform you into different places in time. This piece does that for me… I see myself, my husband, and three little boys out for an afternoon of fishing, picnicking, and enjoying nature. I’m watching them from a blanket on the bank yearning for time to stand still. Two of them are fishing off the bank as their dad tries to patiently keep up with helping them bait their hooks, untangle the lines, and keep them from falling in the oh-so-tempting wet-ness! Their toes squish in the mud as they tease with the edge of the water and they cast their lines impatiently in and out as they aren’t getting the bites from the fish they so hope for. (Probably due to all that giggling!!) The youngest has joyfully befriended a fabulous frog he found while rummaging through a patch of weeds and soon I will have to convince him that his wonderful friend is best left here, at his home in nature, while I make sure he doesn’t sneak him home in his pocket. I soak this day, this moment into my heart. When I glance past everything beautiful in front me and stare into the distance, I see a phenomenal gift that has been given to us all within this earth. Incredible trees, distant hills covered in beautiful brushes in fantastic colors kissed by the sun, and a river running between two sides of land, beyond a stone bridge that connects both sides. It brings me peace knowing there is something bigger out there. There has to be. Moments like these go by too quickly and we don’t often appreciate what we have right in front of us, until they are past. Aren’t we lucky to have the gift of our imagination? … AND a magnificent piece of art like this to help transport our thoughts? We certainly think so. This is an absolutely STUNNING oil painting on canvas signed by artist Henry Kim. Unfortunately, after extensive research we haven’t found any information to attribute to the artist, however, we know they had incredible attention to detail and highly skilled expertise in oil on canvas. The image is vertically placed and matted & framed in a gorgeous gilded wood ornate frame and at 53 ½ x 43 ½ … it is MONUMENTAL in size! It will be marvelous in an entry way, above your bed in the master bedroom, on the wall in your living or family room, or in your dining area on a large wall. Anywhere in your home that could use a splash of Impressionist style bearing wonderful colors, a spectacular scenic view, and a Big, Bold statement! Imagine your own story withing this glorious oil on canvas landscape painting by Henry Kim. You simply MUST make it yours!!!
