About the Item
A beautiful original oil painting on canvas 'Sleeping Figure' 2024.
Painted by a young artist Archie Francis who is currently studying at Camberwell College art, London.
This painting has a unique expressive style with complex layers of texture and colour. The underpainting is completed with aerosol spray paint and then worked over with multiple layers of oil paint, this creates a really lively aesthetic with a tension between the fast and slow application. There are beautiful interplays of colours and texture, with the underpainting colours glowing through the oil paint.
