About the Item
Wright Barker (1864-1941) was a British painter and a member of the Royal British Academy (R.B.A.). He is known as John Wright Barker. He was a painter of genre, rural and sporting scenes, especially dogs, hunting, horses, highland cattle and occasionally landscape. Barker exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1891-1917 and at the Royal British Academy from 1897-1918. “Shepherd and Flock on a Path in Wind”, circa 1919. Oil on canvas, signed lower left. Measures: 35.5” W x 27.5” H. Overall size is 40.5” x 32.5”.
