About the Item
Decorate a living room, bedroom or den with this elegant pair of colorful parrot paintings! Crafted in Italy circa 1960, each hand painted canvas is set in a carved arched and scalloped frame. The first panel shows a greater sulphur-crested cockatoo, associated with a scarlet macaw, a black palm cockatoo, a hyacinth macaw, a and blue parakeet, and a red and blue parrot. The second panel depicts an illigers macaw, a hyacinth macaw, a red and blue parrot, a yellow and green parrot, and two scarlet macaws. All tropical birds are perched on a cherry tree with some parrots holding cherries in their beaks. Intricate rolling clouds are painted in the background adding further realism to the work of art. The avian paintings are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn wonderful, rich and vibrant colors all throughout.
