About the Item
Decorate a living room, bedroom or den with this elegant pair of colorful parrot paintings! Crafted in Italy circa 1960, each hand painted canvas is set in a carved arched and scalloped frame. The first panel features a scarlet macaw, illigers macaw, hyacinth macaw, pink cockatoo, parakeet, and two greater sulphur-crested cockatoos. The second panel depicts an illigers macaw, hyacinth macaw, red and blue parrot, yellow and green parrot, scarlet macaw, and a toucan. All tropical birds are perched on a cherry tree with some of the parrots holding cherries in their beaks. Intricate rolling clouds are painted in the background adding further realism to the work of art. The avian canvas paintings with scalloped arches are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn wonderful, rich and vibrant colors all throughout.
