This harmonious painting in the post-impressionist style is in excellent condition, by the artist Tadashi Kaminagai whose works are rarely available in the art market.
The work is in its original frame, made of wood with the cut border.
Tadashi Kaminagai (1899-1982) is a contemporary Japanese painter of the painter Foujita of whom he was the neighbor in the Cité Falguière. He also resided in Brazil and marked the history of Brazilian painting. He is less known in France, even if the city of La Frette-sur-Seine in which he had a workshop, regularly pays tribute to him.
Brazilian critics pay tribute to his sense of color, the light and the love of life that emerges from his paintings. They describe him as one of the last representatives of the École de Paris and insist on his influence on Japanese-Brazilian artists. His work as a framer is also recognized since his style gave rise to a name "Mura Kaminagai" in Brazil.
