Original antique poster advertising Ruiter's Schaatsenfabriek Akkrum Friesland Speciaal Schaatsen / Ruiter's Skating Factory Akkru Friesland's Special Skates featuring an illustration by Jan Rotgans (1881-1969) depicting a winter ice skating image of a skater in a blue coat, brown trousers, warm long socks, white hat and orange scarf with ice skates tied to his shoes skating on a frozen lake in front of a windmill with snow by the fence and smoke rising from the building in the distance, the view set within an outline shape of Friesland, the bold text on an orange background framed by a blue line. The ancient province of Friesland is located in the northern part of the Netherlands. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, creasing, staining, backed on linen.
