The mountain stream print by George Baxter (1804-1867), A large Baxter print, signed in the image, Feb 25, 1856, by G.Baxter, Proprietor & Patenee London. Framed & matted in fine condition. A fascinating romantic imagery of a faraway idealized exotic landscape with two native women and child resting by a stream.
Baxter's number 143 lists the publication as Feb 25, 1855 with a note that there are prints with other dates. Courtney Lewis 346. Nicely matted and framed. The print measures 14 3/4"-inches high x 10 7/8"-inches wide, With the frame measures 21 1/4"-inches high x 17 3/8"-inches wide x 2 1/2"-inches deep.
