Surreal Artists Proof with Dream Like Imagery
About the Item
A large signed and striking Artist’s proof lithograph with a Surreal and Dreamlike composition. A central large standing Nude female amidst other nudes in the act of standing, reclining and sitting. One skeleton sits in a corner while another mingles with the attendant nudes. On the upper right a nude baths a figure whose feet can be seen outside of an antique tub. The print is executed in Sepia, Blues and Grays and is housed in a custom Cerused oak frame with complementary light Salmon mat having beaded gilt surround. Signed, “Paula Schmerge” in the bottom right corner and in the left corner appear the initial, “AP” for Artist’s proof.
Dimensions: 32.75” high by 26.75” wide by 1” deep.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Light wear to the frame and a few very light scratches to the plexiglass mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is at once colorful and striking.
