Brutalist Provocative Towel Hanger by Swedish Artist Erik Höglund (Hoglund)

About the Item

Te iron clothes hook was forged by Erik Höglund, (1932-1998), in his Studio during 1960s. The hanger was intended as a studio piece. Erik Höglund's work has been exhibited around the world and has had a significant impact on Swedish and international glass art. His artworks are often known for their creative and playful design, and his work become highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts. Höglunds did not adhere to traditional forms. His creations sometimes perceived as highly provocative for their time. Provenance: Erik Höglunds own studio in Albrunna, an island outside the south east coast.
