A beautiful and extremely high quality Italian 19th century Louis XVI St. white Carrara and Rouge Griotte marble freestanding plaque of Joseph Carlino, sculpted by Remo Liverzani. The most decorative plaque is raised by a beautiful Rouge Griotte marble base with a fine mottled border. The white Carrara marble plaque above displays lovely foliate rinceau scrolled patterns with fine rosettes, charming oak leaves and acorns centering the name. The oval medallion at the center is a finely detailed portrait of the handsome Joseph Carlino framed within a beautiful foliate border. Richly sculpted scrolled foliate movements and rosettes extend up each side to the most impressive family crest above flanked by charming cornucopias.
