About the Item
Modern interpretation of Classical Greek sculpting. This piece executed in red enameled cast iron was made by the danish artist and sculptor Jørgen Gudmundsen-Holmgreen and serialized through H. Rasmussen & Co Iron Foundry in Odense, Denmark. This wall relief is typical for the JGH. Mimicking Classical Greek ideals and lending from his own masterpiece Josef from 1939 exhibited at States Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen.
