Stamped at the reverse, with the maker's mark, the silver assay hallmark, the edition number and signed, "VASARELY 49/250 STERLING ENGLAND CFA". Victor Vasarely, 1905-1997 was a Hungarian-French artist, who is widely accepted as a "grandfather" and leader of the Op-art movement. His work entitled Zebra, created in 1937, is considered by some to be one of the earliest examples of Op-art. Literature: From Picasso to Jeff Koons: The Artist as Jeweler, Venet, pg. 65 illustrates similar example. Provenance: Circle of Fine Art Gallery, from an authorized edition of 250 pieces, A private collection in New York, USA. Note: Very rare piece. Vasarely only produced 4 pieces of jewelry, and this is the only bracelet made. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
