About the Item
Medal in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle's head hallmark.
Magnificent antique medal, shuttle-shaped and engraved with a haloed Virgin Mary and roses on a partially enameled gros bleu background. It is surrounded and surmounted by fine pearls. The back is engraved with initials and the date June 18, 1933.
Pendant sold alone without its presentation chain.
Signed Dropsy on the front.
Height : 3.8 cm approximately, width : 17 mm approximately, thickness : 1.4 mm approximately.
Total weight of the jewel : 2.7 g approximately.

Our opinion : This antique art deco medal is ravishing. The engravings are delicately executed. The enamel is missing in places, but as the partitions are intact, this in no way detracts from the overall beauty.

Pendant in 18 karat yellow and white gold eagle's head hallmark.
Superb antique jewel it is composed of an openwork decoration of arabesques in white gold filigree which hold in the center a medal in mat gold representing the haloed virgin. "Ave Maria" is written at the bottom. A sapphire is millegrains set, and the antique medal holds a natural baroque pearl in the pendant. On the back, the pendant is chiselled with a chalice and an engraving in arabesques.
Height: 5.5 cm, width at widest: 2.2 cm, thickness: 1.3 mm approximately.
Total weight of the jewel: about 6.4 g.
