About the Item
Indulge in an exquisite Siberian Amethyst, Rose Cut Diamond and Seed Pearl Pendant dating to the Gilded Age, circa 1890-1910. The museum quality jewel has the most stunning gems set in Silver atop Pink Gold as was the custom of the period. The open work design, with its beaded cannetille borders, is exquisite. The three Pearl drops in the center are fabulous. The color of the oval faceted Siberian Amethyst gems is absolutely to die for.
The craftsmanship of the jewel is of the highest quality attested to by the extraordinary articulated drops throughout. In the center are three diamond surmounted pearl drops. At the bottom is a diamond and amethyst drop. The diamond set bale is articulated as well. The articulation of the jewel creates a shimmering moveable pendant necklace that is an absolute dream to wear and to behold.
This is one of the most beautiful antique Gilded Age, Art Nouveau pendants we have seen. The quality of the very fine art nouveau design is superb. The pendant embodies classic timeless elegance.
