Happy Birthday to these fabulous earrings that are 200 years old this year. Berlin Iron jewelry in excellent condition is rare, even in the museums of the world. The earrings are in three sections, the top two being frilly fine spirals of iron with a silver heart at top. The bottom section is a classical portrait , both male and female on a background of shining steel. The figures would have been recognized in 1820. These are made in Gleiwitz, Germany. This stunning, fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with a 12k yellow gold setting. The pierced decorated two-toned gold frame has been modelled in the form of a stylised stemmed pansy, accented with two leaves. The center of the pansy is ornamented with an impressive seed pearl, encircled by five yellow gold petals with textured decoration.
