Pink Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to the centre with a rectangular emerald-cut natural unenhanced pink Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 2.62 carats, further set with six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.00 carats, to a bold octagonal form with angled collet, polished edges and fancy shaped open backholing, flanked by smooth trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering shank. Tested yellow gold, indistinct makers mark, circa 1980, accompanied by American Gemological Laboratories report #1092690.
