Rare and highly unusual Ancient Greek style 14K yellow gold and enamel octagonal shape amulet signet ring
Provenance: Private Maine collection
The complex, octagonal shaped band of this beautiful ring is composed of three surface sides to each of the eight sides with enamel inscriptions in Greek, twenty four inscriptions in all. The front square signet depicts the face of a bearded man surrounded by inscriptions in Greek.
Signet rings with enamel details are rarely seen, most are either done entirely in gold or are centered by gemstones.

Condition: Very Good, light surface wear commensurate with age, lovely patina.
