The carafe and glasses are gilded internally in yellow gold.
It echoes a popular tavern design, and all elements bear chiseled embossed decorations of vine leaves and bunches of grapes.
Chiseling takes its name from one of the tools used since ancient times to carve, with the help of a hammer, a sheet of metal on which a design has previously been placed. To prevent the metal from cracking under the blows of the chisel, pitch is used with which the object is filled. This technique is usually used to finish the embossing work.
