Supported by tab feet with a shaped top.
With engraved decoration including a shield shaped cartouche at its center with a monogram.

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some very light dings and indentations here and there, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Monogrammed 'F.B.' cartouche to the center.
Marks:
Marked to the base with a maker's mark, lion passant for sterling, crowned leopard for London, and an e for 1740.

This exceptional piece features a smooth polished finish and four places to rest a cigarette or cigar. The ashtray's center tray is approximately 4 3/4" in diameter (not including the rests).
