Jaeger Le Coultre Atmos , Feuille d'or, Motiv Constellation, Manufactured 1967 Switzerland Brass gold plated Year of manufacture 1967 Dimensions: H x W x D: 22 x 18 x 13.5 cm Description: Atmos V calibre 526 in the special "Feuille d'or" version. This model with the motif "Constellation" was built under the ref. number 5802 from 1962-1975. Despite the rather long production time frame of 12 years, the watch appears relatively rarely in the trade. Feuille d'or translates from French as "gold leaf". The sides, the door and the glass on the top plate of the clock are lacquered from the inside. The golden lacquer finish looks amazingly similar to gold leaf. The white full dial has a compass rose in the pivot point of the hands. The entire motif of the clock is dedicated to science and the exploration of the globe of the earth...

Rolex stainless steel ref. 6238, ca 1964 chronograph, Pre Daytona. Tachymeter calibrated to 1000 units, oyster bracelet. The reference 6238 is known as the “Pre-Daytona.” Historically, it is a very significant piece for Rolex, as it marked the adoption of a modern aesthetic in the early 1960s. The dial signature features only 2 short lines, "Rolex" up top and "Chronograph" below. The chronograph function has a tachymeter track as well, though smaller than on previous models and at the edge of the dial. This was the last step before that track was effectively removed from the dial and placed on an external bezel, marking the “founding” design of the Daytona. The sub dials are slightly recessed, and the indices are applied, with tritium luminescence. Importantly, the 6238 offers a comfortable size 36mm Oyster case (10mm thick), and the manually-wound Valjoux 72 movement. Both elements remained in place over the next 30 years. Approximately 1,900 (a very small production run) of this reference were made from early to mid-1960s. Serial # 1077678, made in 1964, fitted with steel oyster bracelet and service dial.
