Vintage Muhammad Ali Ring Magazines set of 6 (1966-1975)
By LeRoy Neiman
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Muhammad Ali The Ring Magazine 1966-1975: A curated grouping of 6 vintage original Muhammad Ali The Ring magazine(s) ranging from 1966-1975; issues cover some of Ali's most important bouts; issue on lower right features cover art by Leroy Neiman. Would look fantastic framed as a group. Dimensions (of each individual mag): 8 x 11 inches Each in good to very good condition given; full issues; each well-intact. Beautifully illustrated and quite well-suited for framing. Unsigned. Muhammad Ali was an American professional boxer and activist. Nicknamed "the Greatest", he is regarded as one of the most significant sports figures of the 20th century and is often regarded as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time. He held the Ring magazine heavyweight title from 1964 to 1970. _ The Ring was founded in 1922 by Nat Fleischer. The first issue, dated February 15, 1922, was 24 pages and cost 20 cents. The cover featured black and white photographs of American promoter Tex Richard and Lord Lonsdale, a British aristocrat and boxing patron. Originally located in New York City, the magazine relocated to Long Island, New York, in 1990, and then moved to suburban Pennsylvania in 1993. It is now based in Los Angeles. The Ring has had five owners throughout its history: Nat Fleischer and family, Dave DeBusschere and Nick Kladis, Stanley Weston, Nick Karabots, and now, Oscar De La Hoya. There have been only seven editors-in-chief in the magazine’s history. The Ring began awarding championship belts...

David Bowie Hunky Dory Vinyl Record Album First Pressing
By David Bowie
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Original David Bowie hunky dory vinyl first pressing RCA Records, 1971 Minor wear to cover; otherwise good to very good vintage condition Record plays nicely and is in good to very good shape Hunky Dory is the fourth studio album by the English musician David Bowie, released on 17 December 1971 by RCA Records. It was his first release through RCA, which would be his label for the next decade. Hunky Dory has been described by All Music's Stephen Thomas Erlewine as having "a kaleidoscopic array of pop styles, tied together only by Bowie's sense of vision: a sweeping, cinematic mélange of high and low art, ambiguous sexuality, kitsch, and class".[2] The album has received critical acclaim since its release, and is regarded as one of Bowie's best works. Time chose it as part of their "100 best albums of all time" list in January 2010, with journalist Josh Tyrangiel praising Bowie's "earthbound ambition to be a boho poet with prodigal style". The style of the album cover, designed by George Underwood...
