David Wang is a native of Beijing, China. He gained his education from the Beijing Education College of China in 1984, where he learned various techniques in drawing, watercolor, oil painting, sculpture, graphic design, and Chinese watercolor. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree, he became a fine arts teacher. During his eight years of teaching, he has taught hundreds of quality students, some becoming professional artists and cinematographers. Wang has also accomplished several major art and design projects, such as designing and creating an exhibit of the Terra-Cotta army warriors in the Forbidden City and interior designs for shopping plazas in Beijing.
In 1988, David came to the U.S as a visitor scholar and studied at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After his studies in 1992, he continued his profession as a full-time artist. For twelve years, he had a successful career creating visual art for the Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida Studio. He worked as a senior background artist doing work from concept development to production final work. About the artist.
Alexander Bercovitch was born in Kherson, Russia in 1891. In 1926 he moved to Montreal, Canada. He is known for a vibrant, expressionist painting style. His landscapes also show the strong influence of impressionism. His mediums are pastel, gouache, watercolour and oil. As a child he apprenticing in icon-painting with monks. He also studied at Jerusalem's Art School of Bezalel, the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, and the Bakst-Dobujiinsky school and Stiglitz Academy, both in St. Petersburg. He worked in Odessa and Moscow painting stage decorations, before moving to Turkestan to teach art. He was influenced by the German Symbolist Franz von Stuck, as well as David Burliuk, co-founder of the Russian Primitivist movement and Wassily Kandinsky. After moving to Montreal he worked in decorative painting and set design. In 1927 he participated in the annual Spring Show of the Art Association of Montreal, and in 1933 held his first solo exhibition. Maude Walling Wanker (1882-1970) was born on October 22, 1882 in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She studied art at the Museum Art School with Clara Jane Stephens, at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1936 with John Bernard Hinshaw, at the University of Oregon with Steinhof, and in Vienna. She specialized in watercolors and oils.
Maude Wanker grew up in the Tualatin Valley, where she began she began sketching as a child. After her marriage in 1901 and the birth of a child, she began attending the Museum Art School on an irregular basis. About the artist:
Om Prakash Sharma (born 14 December 1932) is an Indian painter, visual artist, professor, writer and sitarist based in New Delhi, India. He was bestowed with National Award for Painting of Lalit Kala Akademi in 1969, by the President of India. Sharma has won All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society's Annual Art Exhibitions thrice in 1966, 1967 and 1969, and has been awarded with multiple awards at various state exhibitions.
Sharma was born in 1932, in Bawal, Haryana. He attended Meerut College where he graduated in drawing and paintings in 1951. Sharma earned The National Diploma in Fine Arts in 1958 from Delhi Polytechnic with First Class and Distinction. From 1964 to 1966, Sharma attended Columbia University and Art Students League of New York as a Fulbright scholar where he completed his postgraduate studies in Fine Arts and Art History
Om Prakash Sharma's career as an artist spans over six decades. His work as an artist has been centered around New Delhi. Sharma is known primarily as a practitioner of a uniquely Indian visual style. Sharma started his career as an artist in 1956 during annual exhibition at All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society in Delhi. His paintings has been exhibited at over 100 solo and group exhibition. His art works has been part of permanent collections at various art galleries and museums including Berlin Museum, Academy of Fine Arts Museum, Moscow and Darat al Funun, Amman, Jordan. He is regarded as the one of the founders of the Neo-Tantra art...
