This great looking Art Deco Watch is called the Ristside, it was produced by the legendary house of Gruen. The watch has been in our collection for nearly 50 years and it appears to be New Old Stock, as it is still fitted with its original Pig Skin Leather Strap. The strap is too dried out to actually use however (we can make you an exact one). We will supply it with a modern strap that will fit the original buckle. This watch is dependable and easy to service.
In the 1930's, we became Gruen agents in Los Angeles, California. Gruen was a great company to work with because they had a large collection, great styling, they were innovative and offered great service to their customers. It is sad that they could not, like so many other American Watch Companies, withstand the Swiss and Japanese marketing.
Founded in 1894 by Dietrich Gruen. The company had their American base in Cincinnati, Ohio, and it produced a wide variety of watches, including pocket watches, wristwatches, and chronographs. Gruen watches were
known for their high quality and stylish designs, and they were
popular with consumers for many years.

This is a rare model by the legendary American House of Hamilton, from Lancaster Pennsylvania. This watch was presented in 1932 to the winner of an amateur Skeet Shooting Contest in 1932 in Dayton Ohio. It is in excellent original condition and is still fitted with an original period strap and buckle, however the strap is too fragile to wear all the time so we put a new lizard strap on it and the original buckle. This classic vintage Rolex has a custom finished dial made by our specialty custom dial house. It is made to "Rolex of Switzerland" rigorous specifications. However, it did not originally come on this watch. All the other mechanical parts on this watch are original, in fact it still has its original factory rating. You can only get this rating when all the mechanical parts are original.
The diamond bezel is hand made to our specifications and watch meets all the rigorous standards of a Rolex.

This is one of the finest example of a "trench" watch we have ever had. The watch is entirely hand made. The case cover is done in classic Breguet Engine Turning, with a "Half Hunter" cover and Kiln Fired Blue Enamel with Roman Numerals. The Roman Numerals are balanced out against the Breguet Arabic Numeral Dial. The movement is hand made by Longines and very high grade. We have just serviced this fine watch and it keeps dependable time and can be worn all the time and counted on to get you there on time as well.
Longines was founded in 1832 by Auguste Agassiz, a Swiss watchmaker. He was also the brother of renowned biologist Louis Agassiz. Agassiz started the company with two partners, lawyers Henri Raiguel and Florian Morel. The company's original name was Raiguel Jeune & Cie.
In 1846, Raigeul and Morel retired from the watch industry, leaving Agassiz as sole company head. Several years later, Agassiz brought in his bright, enterprising nephew, trained economist Ernest Francillon, into the business. Francillon was the mastermind behind several impressive innovations that would distinguish the company from its competitors.
In 1880, Francillon trademarked the Longines name and its winged hourglass logo. The winged hourglass is a symbol of precision and timekeeping, and it has become one of the most recognizable logos in the watch industry.
In 1912, Longines became the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games. The company has held this position ever since, and it has been involved in every Olympic Games since then. Longines has also been the official timekeeper of many other major sporting events, including the World Championships in Athletics, the Formula One World Championship, and the America's Cup.
