An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Swedish silver sauce tureens; an addition to our 18th century silverware collection These exceptional antique Swedish silver sauce tureens have a plain oval shaped form onto a plain oval spreading pedestal foot to a rectangular base and collet rim. The plain body of each antique sauce tureen is embellished with an impressive applied figural medallion to each side. The medallion to one depicts a female carrying an overflowing cornucopia and the other bears a seated female with a turtle to her feet; it can be determined that such an arrangement of figures relates to a historical event or folklore. The upper rim of each tureen is encompassed with applied bead decoration. These exceptional silver tureens retain the original push fit covers ornamented with further bead decoration and surmounted with an impressive cast silver organic acorn style finial. Each antique Swedish tureen is fitted with two impressive silver handles ornamented with a band of applied oval bead decoration to the upper portion. The oval pedestal foot of each tureen is embellished with applied bead decoration to the upper and lower portion. The upper and lower rims of this fine example of Victorian silverware are ornamented with an impressive applied bead decorated border. Antique 1820s Italian Sterling Silver Jug

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Italian silver sterling jug. This exceptional antique Italian sterling silver jug has an oval paneled, flared form onto a circular domed foot. The surface of this antique jug is plain and unembellished, with a matte, subtly planished finish in keeping with the patination of a piece from this period. This impressive piece is fitted with an exceptional cast sterling silver scrolling handle, accented with a leaf design emanating from the thumbpiece, this leaf ornamentation comprises the upper terminal. The circular foot is encircled with a band of embossed bead decoration. This impressive antique silver jug has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as sterling standard silver (925/1000). Patination or Patina is a subtle coloration or tarnish which forms on the surface of some metals, produced by oxidation or other chemical processes. A good patina proffers an aesthetically pleasing look. Condition This antique silver jug is a very good gauge of silver and exceptional quality for its type. The jug is in exceptional presentation condition. Italian hallmarks struck to the surface of the jug and rim of the foot are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Edwardian English sterling silver and wood bridge marker; an addition to our diverse silverware collection. This exceptional and rare antique Edwardian sterling silver bridge marker has a heart-shaped form. The original carved, stained hard wood base is embellished with an impressive applied hallmarked motif realistically modelled in the form of four splayed playing cards: one of each suit. The heart-shaped base features a handpiece to the upper portion, ornamented with a secondary silver mount displaying an engraved heart encompassed with scrolling leaf decoration. The surface of this exceptional antique example is encompassed with two rows of marker holes, paralleling the shaped outer rim. An exceptional, fine and impressive, unusual antique George V English sterling silver Art Deco presentation trophy in the form of dartboard; part of our silverware collection. This exceptional and unusual antique sterling silver trophy has been crafted in the form of a Yorkshire or Kent doubles dartboard*. The face of the dartboard clearly depicts the appropriately numbered segments and the wirework spider. This fine George V trophy is supported by an ebonised wood mount and an Art Deco style angular ebonised wooden base. The base displays six hallmarked vacant presentation plaques; each plaque may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired. The posterior surface of the wooden mount is plain. * This variation of dart board does not incorporate a triple ring, only the double and bullseye.
