The idea was born after deciding to reconnect with my family and my grandfather – a sculptor artist. Learning to sculpt and being a designer compelled me to combine these two mediums and use their best values. Experimenting with the functionality of sculpture and the meaning of furniture led me to create the collection.
Studio AOAO is an interdisciplinary studio combining art and design. It was created by Alicja Strzyzynska and Onur Iseri in Amsterdam in 2020.
“We specialise in making sculptural pieces by experimenting with the functionality of sculpture and the meaning of furniture. In our works, we focus on the emotional connection between the object and the user. All of our work seeks the experience of intimacy and the metaphysical bond between personal interaction and meaningful narrative. Through sculptural value and reflective design, we aim to create pieces that last for generations and help reduce environmental waste.”
The inspiration to sculpt came from Alicja’s roots, her grandfather – an artist sculptor. Alicja completed Masters of Arts Degree in Product and Visual Communication Design at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and finished her bachelor degree in Interior Architecture. Alicja previously worked in Tokyo and Amsterdam in architectural design studios. Onur completed his business studies in Japan and worked in digital design & marketing as well as teaching in Tokyo.

The baths are entirely made of clay and are available in a wide range of colours or can be produced bespoke. The exterior of the clay can be raw or smooth according to preference, the interior of the baths is finished with a layer of smooth, silky lime plaster for maximum comfort. Due to the production process every piece is unique in size and form.
Studio LoHo is a Belgian design office located in Bruges, Belgium. Ron Arad, a British designer of Israeli origin, was born in 1951 in Tel Aviv. First trained at the Jerusalem Academy of Art, Ron Arad then studied at the Architectural Association School in London in 1973.

Ron Arad's first creations are furniture made with metal tubes and called "one-offs" because they are unique pieces. One Off is also the name of his first company.
Ron Arad became famous in the early 1970s, thanks to the creation of seats inspired by the armchairs of a Rover, seats that he found in a car junkyard.
Also among Ron Arad's best-known pieces are the Bookworm shelf from 1993 and the Tom Vac chair from 1997.
His surprising work makes him a free creator without constraints or borders who navigates between design, architecture and plastic arts.
Ron Arad uses materials such as plastic, polished steel or aluminum to create elements made of aerial scrolls. His creations with sinusoidal, elliptical or ovoid shapes range from unique pieces to industrial production, including limited series.
In 2008, the Center Pompidou presents a retrospective of his work, entitled "No Discipline". There are major and emblematic pieces of the artist, prototypes accompanied by audiovisuals, limited series and objects of industrial production as well as numerous architectural projects.
Ron Arad, whose works are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, creates pieces for renowned houses such as Vitra, Kartell, Moroso, Artemide and Alessi.

Italy 2017 André Fu Brass Abstract Sculpture

This incredible abstract sculpture was created by the internationally well known designer André Fu, founder of the André Fu Studio, based in Hong Kong. Title "Eternal flame". This intense scultpture can be filled of water in the base and the little brass bowl can be put on, floating. A lit candle completes the scene.
This is a one-of-the kind piece, hand made by the Italian factory specilized in brass work who collaborated with the designer to realised it.
Wallpaper magazine assigned the Award to this iconic brass sculpture and it was an event focus during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

The soft pink veins of the Portuguese marble are beautiful.
The sculpture is not signed. It is a unique piece, one of his most recent work.
It is the first time that Jan Keustermans and his family offer a selection of sculptures, directly from the artist’s atelier.
Jan Alfons Keustermans (°1940) is a Belgian sculptor, medalist and draftsman. He studied at the National Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Antwerp and until 2000 he was director of the Municipal Academy of Fine Arts in Turnhout.
He has won several art prizes for sculpture and participated in group exhibitions in Belgium and abroad.
He has created more than 850 works. In 1994, he won the Ministry of Finance’s competition for a portrait of King Albert II on the Belgian currency. In 1997 he designed a similar version for the euro coin.
