The fall opening to a fitted interior of six small drawers, pigeon holes and one central small door with an engraving.
The waving, curved front of this antique Italian drop front bureau shows two short, small and convex drawers above two long and deep drawers; the scalloped lower front, the shaped apron is part of the lower drawer. Sides in solid walnut. The whole raised on curved cabriolet feet.

The base contains a fall-front fitted secretaire with small drawers, two of which have secret drawers. Engraved mounts are contemporary if not original. All locks and cross-grained mouldings are original.
Beautiful colour throughout with superb matched burr veneers within herringbone lines.
Bun feet are original.
Lined throughout in best quality English oak.
