Norma Marquez Orozco explores concepts of impermanence, perception, form and balance through physical movement of the work itself in a lucid, game-like context, like puzzles. All the elements are made of paper, molded into three-dimensional forms. The repetitive geometric shapes are assembled inside boxes built out of translucent paper. The arrangement is random and unfixed to allow movement and unpredictable composition.
The harmonies and tensions in the work arise from different exchanges between the colors, the patterns, and the geometric and organic shapes, as well as the sense that change is constantly occurring as the elements shift and move.
When one looks at these compositions, you see them for the first time, every time, because what is creating and completing the artwork is always changing; such as light, weather and forms merge and interact. As a result of these dynamic relationships, the work extends beyond her personal hand, sustaining an appearance and composition entirely of its own.

Ayse Wilson is a Turkish-American artist who lives and lives and works in Connecticut. Her work draws from memory and emotion to remind viewers of youth, innocence and the timeless space we occupy when we are young. She creates lively and childlike characters, finding inspiration in the works of early Italian Renaissance masters such as Fra Angelico.
Wilson graduated from Wellesley College in 1991, and pursued her education in Florence. She received her MFA at New York Academy of Art, and later worked as a painting assistant to Jeff Koons for two years.
This current series employs the toile wallpaper samples that the artist had lying around her house during lockdown as a backdrop for ambiguous and complicated feelings toward quarantine and domestic confinement. In this work, she is hoping to narrate how fear of the pandemic unknown, coupled with household anxieties, and increased self-awareness contributed to the mixed emotions of security and hostility towards enforced domesticity within a masked world.
The toile tradition represented a coincidental parallel with the COVID era rediscovery of old-fashioned pastoral lifestyles, and the embrace of self-reliant artisanal practices like cooking, gardening, sewing, and prescribed homeschooling. Her colorful inscriptions, some original, some appropriated, layer in our contemporary lifestyle, our modern methods of connectivity as well as our high-tech world.
The punky playfulness of the neon and fluorescents contrasts with the backdrop of Fragonard-esque imagery and hopes to delivery her messages of love and connection, awareness and newness, hope and emotions, as well as the occasional glossily veiled hostility expressed in certain so-called “love” declarations.

Ms. Jennings maintains a painting studio in East Hampton and currently teaches oil and watercolor classes. In 1997, she was a founding member of CMEE, The Children’s Museum of the East End. Working with Lee Skolnick and JoAnn Secor, she was an exhibit designer and fabricator for “Time and Place, Light and Space”, the initial installation at Guild Hall, which launched CMEE. She was a lead designer for the permanent exhibition installation of CMEE, located in Bridgehampton, NY. Jennings received her BFA from the University of Dayton and attended The Dayton Art Institute, Antioch College and The Art Students League. Her paintings are in numerous corporate and private collections worldwide. Janet Jennings is known for her luminous oil & watercolor paintings. After working for Lawrence Rubin at Knoedler Contemporary Art, Jennings maintained a studio at Waverly Studios in New York City. She began as a Color Field painter, working on canvas and linen. Janet moved to Amagansett, NY in 1981 and switched her focus to landscape painting. Her career path led her to teach at The Parrish Art Museum, Guild Hall & The Victor D’amico Institute of Art. From 1993 to 1998, she was the Chair of the Andy Warhol Visual Arts Preserve Program. Jennings maintains ties to the art community as an educator and curator. She is a member of the East Hampton Arts Council, an advocacy group for performing and visual artists of East Hampton. Ms. Jennings maintains a painting studio in East Hampton and currently teaches oil and watercolor classes. In 1997, she was a founding member of CMEE, The Children’s Museum of the East End. Working with Lee Skolnick and JoAnn Secor, she was an exhibit designer and fabricator for “Time and Place, Light and Space”, the initial installation at Guild Hall, which launched CMEE. She was a lead designer for the permanent exhibition installation of CMEE, located in Bridgehampton, NY. Jennings received her BFA from the University of Dayton and attended The Dayton Art Institute, Antioch College and The Art Students League. Her paintings are in numerous corporate and private collections worldwide.
