A rare and highly collectible late 1970’s Hermes unstructured wrap-over jacket with deep V-neckline and stylized kimono sleeves, the front of fine silk twill woven panels with an all-over print of Hugo Grygkar’s design (first issued in 1954) featuring both the coat of arms (“Les Armes de Paris”) and the Latin motto of the City of Paris, “Fluctuat nec mergitur” (""[the vessel] is rocked [by the waves], but does not sink""), surrounded by further coats of arms, all in shades of gold, Munsell-red, azure-blue and silver-grey, on a black background, the back of black silk velvet, finished with complementing ties.
