“My recent work continues the exploration of shapes that originate in tailoring pattern pieces,” says Washington. “My works over time have become more structural in their compositions. I utilize textile cutouts that have been previously sewn and/or painted. I allow threads and frayed edges to act as ‘painterly’ gestures within a loose grid of contrasting shapes that jostle for position across the canvas. I enjoy the tensions where shapes meet and create negative space or where color overlaps and interacts.”

Mark Acetelli was born in Detroit into an artistic household. Mark’s mother herself was a painter and some of his earliest memories were the smell of turpentine and oil paints. Growing up surrounded by his mother's work, she inspired and encouraged him to become an artist.
Acetelli’s paintings are inspired by the intensely personal introspective journey of life, from the ever-changing complexities of love, loss, birth, and death. The context of his work he describes as, “Absence and Presence” pertaining to how someone or something can be physically gone, but the essence still remains. Capturing the physical mixed with spirituality on canvas. His application of paint is an extension of that thought process. He works by continuously building up and tearing down, layer upon layer, adding and subtracting. A visceral dance between the conscious and the unconscious until the emotion is expressed.
Acetelli’s paintings may go through multiple incarnations with the past lying just beneath the surface, adding to its overall dimension and depth. In his work, Acetelli seeks to evoke a feeling rather than depict a defined image. He uses primarily oils and encaustics to create thickly layered canvases with emotive bursts of color. Creating a world where imagination and reality come together. Edith Konrad has studied in numerous master classes with artists from Germany and Italy. She paints in a variety of techniques and particularly prefers the use acrylic on canvas, collage and mixed media. In 2007 her art was acquired by the State Museum Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She won the 2009 Palm Art Award, a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding artistic quality and originality of the work. In 2010 she exhibited at the Salon de la Culture at the Louvre in Paris, France.

Hamilton Hamilton (1 April 1847 – 4 January 1928) was a painter and etcher, known mostly for his landscapes of the American West. Born in Oxford, England, he lived most of his life in the Eastern United States. He painted landscapes in New York, Connecticut, the American West, England, and France. He also painted portraits and drew illustrations.
Artistic career
Hamilton Hamilton was born in Oxford, England, on 1 April 1847. While young, he was a protégé of John Ruskin. In 1872, he began his mostly self-taught career as a portrait artist in Buffalo, New York. He created 47 landscape paintings during an 1873 expedition to Colorado which were chosen to be part of the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. He spent 1878 and 1879 painting in Pont-Aven, Brittany, alongside Barbizon School painters.
He moved to New York City in 1881 and shortly after began to practice genre painting and etching.[6] He became an associate member of the National Academy of Design in 1886 and a National Academician in 1889. Until the end of the century, he and his family resided alternately in upstate New York, Long Island, Colorado, and England.[6] In 1907 and 1908, Hamilton spent two years painting landscapes in Southern California. Sally West was born in West Wyalong, Central New South Wales. West grew up on a farm and, as a teenager, moved to Eastern Sydney for school. Throughout her life, she has traveled through and lived in both Europe and South East Asia to gain inspiration for her artwork. Although her international journeys have influenced her style, the subjects of her paintings are very close to home. The subjects of all of her paintings exist in an infinite timeline inspired by her location in Eastern Australia.
Since West’s first breakthrough solo exhibition in New York in 2011, her artworks have become highly sought after internationally. She has won and placed as a finalist in numerous worldwide art competitions and juried exhibitions throughout her career. Her artworks are exhibited in influential galleries across Australia and the USA and are included in significant art collections around the globe.

Born in 1975, Saratov, Russia, Ekaterina Ermilkina now lives and works in New Jersey. She grew up in the beautiful city of Yalta in Crimea on the North coast of the Black Sea, where in 1985 she enrolled as a student to the School of Art of F.Vasiliev, graduating in 1991.
After her first introduction to fine art in Yalta, in 1992, Ekaterina Ermilkina moved to Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 1998 she received her MFA from State Art and Industry Academy. The unique beauty and rich culture of the city inspired her to paint cityscapes.
In late 2005, Ermilkina moved to the U.S. Her works has been presented in various solo and group exhibitions in international galleries and art fairs and have been collected throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, and Russia.
Her artworks pop with color and motion, casting a candied haze across the urban landscape. “I am focused on art all my life. It makes me optimistic, full of energy and happy. The vivid colors of Crimea where I grew up, the beautiful marine of the Black Sea, inspired me to paint for the rest of my life. I believe that paintings can reflect our desires for beauty, poetics and perfection.”
