Artist Kazaan Viveiros earned a BA with distinction from the University of Virginia in Studio Art and Religious Studies, and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.
She has since exhibited work in solo and group exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe, including solo shows in New York, San Francisco, Berkeley, Scottsdale, AZ, Richmond, VA, and Savannah, GA. In 2003, curator Raffaella Guidobono gave Viveiros a show at TAD Concept Store in Rome.
Viveiros’s paintings have been collected by a wide array of corporations, including eBay and Capital One Bank, as well as by individuals such as WalMart’s Rob Walton and novelist Danielle Steel. Her large diptych, The Whale, was purchased by Banner Children’s Hospital and currently hangs in their radiology ward. Summit Medical Group MD Anderson Cancer Center in New Jersey has many of her works in their collection. In addition, five of Viveiros’s paintings were purchased by the Art in Embassies Program and are permanently installed in the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

BIOGRAPHY:
Eunju Kang was born in 1962 and raised in Daegu, Korea. She moved to California at 14 years old with her mother and two sisters in the 1970s. Kang was always an avid doodler, often in her textbooks, which became a helpful communication tool as she adjusted to her new life. Since the early 1990s, Kang has lived and worked in NYC, painting, printmaking and turning her
doodles into a successful business with her sisters.
Kang earned fine art degrees at UC Santa Barbara and Pasadena Art Center College of Design

"Strengths and Weaknesses" is a portrait exploring several elements and strategies that fascinate the artist – notably the performance anxiety induced by simply being an artist, staring down the freight train of art history as it hurtles toward you every time you pick up a brush. Luck? Talent? Maybe. There are signposts and guides in this painting, of course (Cubism! Surrealism! Brancusi! Guston!), but they can clobber you too if you're not careful. Even the phrase "strengths and weaknesses" smacks of compromises and rationalization – deadly to an artist looking to construct their own integral world.
"Strengths and Weaknesses" is an acrylic and charcoal on canvas measuring 54" tall by 54" wide. It was included in the artist's solo show "Comedy Cellar" at Freight + Volume Gallery, New York City in July 2018. (See last photograph for an installation view.)

Rachel Personett was born in Hawaii, but raised in Colorado. Being the daughter of a pilot she has always traveled extensively. She has studied part time at the Savannah College of Art and Design, The Angel Academy of Art, and finally settled on the Florence Academy of Art, graduating in 2015. In January 2016 she apprenticed the painter Odd Nerdrum in Norway for eight months. Rachel Personett works strictly from life, and enjoys the challenged of painting the ephemeral. Working from life provides the opportunity to travel around the world painting the ever changing people and landscapes.

My mother had studied advertising in college, so she knew a lot about arts and good craftsmanship. She did talks at my elementary school each week and on a different artist. I remember being very moved by the images of Van Gogh and Andrew Wyeth. At the Florence Academy I really liked Sargent, Sorolla, Willard Metcalf, Henri Fantin-Latour and Velazquez. Aaron Bohrod's work has not been limited to one style or medium. Initially recognized as a regionalist painter of American scenes, particularly of his native Chicago, Bohrod later devoted himself to detailed still-life paintings rendered in the trompe l'oeil style. He also worked for several years in ceramics and wrote a book on pottery.
Born in 1907, Bohrod began his studies at Chicago's Crane Junior College in 1925, and two years later enrolled in the Art Institute of Chicago. But it was at the Art Students League in New York City, from 1930 to 1932, that he studied under the man believed to be his most significant early influence, John Sloan. Sloan's romantic realism...
