Will Adler is a 38 year old west coast photographer known for his distinctive take on the surf world. Adler's laid back, light infused images, (as often of women surfers as men) convey the spirit and atmosphere of place as much as the action of the sport and have earned him a cult following in surfing and photography circles. For his summer show at Danziger Gallery, Adler is showing pictures from Hawaii, California, and Montauk shot for himself and for magazines such as Juxtapoz, Neon, Surfer, WAX, and The New Yorker, His commercial clients have included Quiksilver, Patagonia, Nike, and Hixsept.

Artist’s Bio:
Yasuhiro Ishimoto a Japanese photographer was born in 1921. His work was chosen by Edward Steichen to appear in the Family of Man exhibition and catalogue at the Museum of Modern Art in 1955, and Steichen also selected his work for a three-person exhibition in 1961. From 1973-1993 Ishimoto produced a number of in-camera color abstractions that appeared as covers for a Japanese magazine. Ishimoto's exhibitions, include New Japanese Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in 1974, solo shows in 1960 and 1999 at the Art Institute of Chicago, a retrospective in 1989–1990 at Seibu Museum of Art in Tokyo, and an exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, in 1996. Phillip Buehler is a New York based photographer who documents the deterioration and remnants of neglected architecture constructed in the recent past. He is arguably the first to coin the neologism “modern ruins”. His photographs published in “Woody Guthrie’s Wardy Forty,” have won numerous awards, documenting the singer/songwriter/activist’s life at Greystone Park Psychiatric. He received his BA at Rutgers University and his MFA in photography at School of Visual Arts. Phillip Buehler has been featured in Art in America, The New York Times, Art News, The Art Newspaper, Wall Street Journal, American Photo Magazine, The Huffington Post, Hyperallergic, Gothamist, Art F City, The Sun, ABC, CNN, and numerous other publications.
