This 18 karat gold 'day night' Reverso by Jaeger-LeCoultre is perhaps one of the most iconic watch designs of the 20th Century. The watch which in this iteration features dual faces, is accompanied by its original boxes, user manuals and papers and what is likely its original crocodile leather band with deployment clasp. The 18 karat gold casing houses on one side a dial featuring Arabic numbers and a second hand, the alternate side featuring batons and Arabic numbers again with a second hand. It won't be an easy task to find another example of this 1970s Jaeger LeCoultre 'Master' wristwatch. Crafted with a solid 14 karat yellow gold case, the wristwatch is fitted with a Swiss made manual wind movement by watchmaking masters, Jaeger LeCoultre. The 14 karat yellow gold casing was manufactured in the United States by DiVincenzo & Arienti who were New York based and made cases for many watch houses which at the time would import the movement only, before being set into a case in the United States. It's believed this was done due to the high duties that were applied to the import of gold during the 1970s. Another company that DiVincenzo & Arienti manufactured cases for was Omega who also used to ship movements only for completion in the States. Perhaps the most notable element of this watch is the beautifully textured dial and bezel which has a very precise satin finish, almost brutalist in appearance. The manual wind watch is complete with its original Jaeger signed crown and has been recently serviced to keep good time. A really beautiful mid century watch...

This beautiful ladies dress watch was made by Swiss watchmaker Piaget. Crafted from 18 karat yellow gold the watch features an integrated 18 karat yellow gold bracelet which is original to the piece and has a silky satin finish. The oval watch-face features a satin finish dial with baton markers and has an oval white gold and diamond set bezel which comprises 40 round brilliant cut diamonds. The watch runs on a mechanical movement which has been fully cleaned and serviced in 2024 and is working well. It should be noted that the piece is 'dust-proof' only and should not be exposed to water, or be submersed. To the rear of the watch the case back is engraved, likely dating to the original owner, 'Because I love you, Ben 12.25.83' along with a gold purity mark. The piece retains its original presentation box and outer box. A beautiful example of a slim ladies Piaget from the period from which they were best known. The Eterna Matic (model 1948) Triple Date draws directly from the grand yet heralded lineage the brand was built upon. Just shy of a century after establishing the brand, Eterna redefined the history of watchmaking by unveiling the ball-bearing movement in 1948. This revolutionised the watch world as it was the introduction of the self-winding watch, a true automatic. It was said that “It is to watchmaking what jet propulsion was to aviation”.
