Nicholson Fused Glass Bowl, 1992, American Art Studio Glass
By Rick & Janet Nicholson
Located in Clifton Springs, NY
Vintage glass bowl in biomorphic shape was created by Rick and Janet Nickolson in 1992; it features a pair of abstract patterns in pink, cream, and white glass fused on thin, almost transparent green glass background. The green color deepens around the heavier base, creating a contrast with the light, ethereal body of the bowl.
The bowl is signed and dated on the base near the bottom.
Rick and Janet Nicholson of Nicholson Blown Glass Studio have worked together as a successful team since 1979. Rick first studied glass with Don Hartman and the University of Southern California and was a TA at Pilchuck Glass School for Dale Chihuly and Fritz Dreisbach in 1981; he continued to study with such notables as Therman Statom...

Japanese Bamboo Basket Ikebana by Abe Motoshi
By Abe Motoshi
Located in Atlanta, GA
A Japanese Ikebana bamboo basket woven by artist Abe Motoshi (Japanese, b. 1942). Constructed with lacquered reddish Madake bamboo and rattan with technique of open and irregular twinning, the basket features an organic form with undulating woven surface with wavy crossing lines. The basket appears simple and refined, but the making process is deceivingly sophisticated. Clean and precise, it is of the signature style of Abe Motoshi's.
The basket is signed on the base. It comes with the original tomobako storage box with inscription of the title on the lid as well as the artist's name and seal under the lead. A yellow wrapping cloth and a printout of the artist's biography from Tai Modern...

Antique Wedgwood Creamware Charger Geometric Border England Circa 1785
By Wedgwood
Located in Katonah, NY
This elegant Wedgwood charger was made in England in the late 18th century, circa 1785.
Crafted from creamware, the charger features a meticulously painted geometric border composed of orange and black flowerheads set within a lattice of fine black lines. Each flowerhead is centered in a diamond-shaped cell, creating a repeating pattern that radiates rhythm and precision. The inner field is left undecorated, emphasizing the clean form and enhancing the visual impact of the border.
The simplicity of the cream-colored ground paired with the precise hand-painting along the rim reflects the neoclassical restraint and balance that defined Wedgwood’s aesthetic...

Small Italian Beige and Burgundy Marble Lobed Basin or Vide Poche
Located in Dallas, TX
Hand-carved in Italy during the 1900’s, this small marble lobed basin would make a great vide-poche. A vide-poche (literally “empty pocket”) is a small storage bowl for everyday items, such as car keys, loose change, wallets, etc.
A marble basin of this size might have originally been used in a Catholic church as a holy water vessel. The gadrooned lobes carved along the outside give the appearance of a stylized scalloped shell. On the back of the shell is an excavated block of marble, which is how the basin would have been affixed to a wall. The beautiful beige colored marble with burgundy inclusions and white veining has been carved with a quarter round molding along the rim. A versatile item, our small Italian marble shell basin...
