Vintage Mid-Century Modern Mirror Skyscraper Sideboard by Ello Furniture
By Ello Furniture
Located in New York, NY
Stunning Vintage Mid-Century Modern mirror glass sideboard by Ello Furniture. The coveted six door Skyscraper design features stacked folding door panels. They have lots of great storage space and the side panels are chrome metal. The center area has a light in order. The piece is in excellent condition. Ello furniture was known in its heyday for being as practical as it was stylish. The company's motto was "Contemporary Furniture of Distinction," and their designs were highly functional with just the right amount of flair for the modern home. In 1976, the Fort Lauderdale News and Sun-Sentinel described an Ello modular wall unit as "a rare combination of function plus spectacular glamour." Ello also collaborated with well-known designers of the era, like O.B. Solie. During the 1970s, Solie worked with mirrored glass, bronze, oak and more to design a range of tallboys, chests, sideboards and other pieces that boasted gilt brass escutcheons and brushed chrome drawer pulls. In its prime, Ello held annual inventory clearance sales that attracted hundreds of customers. People lined up around the warehouse, sometimes camping out days in advance. Sales started to become more frequent, and in 2010, Ello closed its doors. In 2011, they auctioned off the rest of their merchandise. Today vintage Ello furniture...

Early 18th Century Bolognese Walnut Sideboard
Located in Atlanta, GA
A rare and handsome Bolognese sideboard from the early 18th century, crafted in solid walnut with a warm, aged patina that highlights the wood’s natural grain and depth. This substantial piece features two paneled doors with decorative geometric insets and bold turned roundels, framed by carved pilasters and crowned with a molded dentil cornice. The architectural design reflects the Baroque influence typical of northern Italian furniture of the period, yet retains a sense of rustic elegance. The interior reveals ample storage with two full-length shelves, making it both practical and visually striking. The solid plank back, original iron hinges, and beautifully worn interior all speak to the authenticity and craftsmanship of the era. Raised on bracket feet, the piece is well-balanced and sturdy. Originating from Bologna, this sideboard is ideal for use in a dining room, hallway, or as a statement piece in a more eclectic or rustic interior. A fine example of Italian provincial furniture...
