In order for their new NYC apartment to feel more like a family home and less like a city retreat, we worked with John Murray Architects and Peter Cosola Inc to completely redefine the original layout of their pre-war Park Avenue residence. The space was completely gut renovated to ensure an abundance of natural light and the feeling of expansive spaces throughout.
The expansive terrace with sweeping views of Central Park and surrounding urban environment has ample seating, arranged in intimate formations. The streamlined teak and steel chairs and tables are accented by lush greenery and the exposed bricks of the building- creating an urban chic aesthetic.
While the architectural details and interior furnishings nod to the building’s historic façade, the open spaces, bright colors, and our client’s impressive Contemporary Art collection liven each space with an unexpected freshness. This project is a prime example of the Cullman & Kravis approach.
